About Our Bakery

Founded by Charles and Robin Middleton, ShenValleyBakers evolved from a mutual desire to provide quality products inspired by traditional methods to our community and customers.  Charles is a confirmed bread maker while Robin concentrates on the pastry side.  Having been taught by pastry chefs and bakers from the Culinary Institute of America and King Arthur Flour, we handcraft our products in small batches using the only the best quality ingredients.  

All of our products are freshly made for you from scratch.  Our sourdough breads use wild yeast cultures from Middletown Virginia that produce flavorful and tangy breads that resist staling.  In fact, these breads can last for days without a significant degradation in quality due to the nature of sourdough. 

ShenValley pastries are made from scratch using the best flour, eggs, butter, and vanilla... in fact, we would never use anything in our products that we would not want to give our own family.  Made with quality as our mission, taste the difference that ShenValleyBakers makes.
